ANGELINA JOLIE-GOOD PEOPLE GOOD WORK

Posted By lady_coco on Nov 11, 2007 at 10:20AM

This book is a very wonderful book.
It is written from her having begun work in UNHCR, the honest feeling and puzzlement of the beginning which began work are often expressed, and it is wonderful.
I think that it will take to ANGELINA more if everybody reads this book.
I have a Japanese version and an English-language edition. Please read.
It is a book which is worth reading.
think that it obtains immediately since it is put on the market in every country in the world.

UNICEF Up Close's photos

Here's a Flickr site with a photo-brief of celebrity's trip to the Third World Countries, including Lucy Liu, Clay Aiken, Tea Leoni and more.

Maybe it's a good place to bring up a discussion about the sincerity or hypocrisy of celebrities' charity.
I'm not judging , I'm asking what do you think about this.

Do you agree that some celebs "do charity" just to shape up their image ?

Does it make difference if the support is only financial (without involving in actions, campaigns etc)?

Do you believe in their "devotion"?

We can ask many more - so I encourage you to put your own questions and opinions.

I found an article "Celebrities who share themselves to help others" including Eva Longoria and Lucy Liu from InStyle.
"There is more hope and love on the cancer floor of the hospital than anywhere else in life," says Eva Longoria."There is more hope and love on the cancer floor of the hospital than anywhere else in life," says Eva Longoria.
"[Children] are not asking for Nintendo or Xbox or any of that; they just want books and paper," says Lucy Liu."[Children] are not asking for Nintendo or Xbox or any of that; they just want books and paper," says Lucy Liu.

At first I want to thank lady_coco for creating this group.
Secondly I just want to pass on a topic that so to say combine UNICEF and our Teamsugar community.
Here is a link to official UNICEF site http://www.unicef.org/

Inter alia you can find there a list of Goodwill Ambassadors - that is celebrities committed to children -and find out sth about their devotion.

International ambassadors http://www.unicef.org/people/people_ambassadors_international.html
(including Mia Farrow, David Beckham, sir Roger Moore, Ricky Martin, Susan Sarandon and others)
